The ''Kyrie'' is perhaps the most frequent prayer set to music, yet Ron Kean's rendition brings new beauty to this age-old supplication.

 

The vocal lines display Dr. Kean's superb understanding of the voice - they arc and cross in gentle suspensions that amplify the longings of the text. The piano part begins in a supportive role, but as the piece builds becomes more and more profound.
